Theme: Women In Tech

Toronto recently made waves on the web with the news that the Ontario capital had become North America’s fastest-growing tech market.

According to the CBRE’s 2017 North American Scoring Tech Talent report, Toronto added 22,500 new technology jobs to eclipse tech hotbeds New York (5,370) and San Francisco (11,540) combined. In doing so, Toronto lept from 12th to sixth in the overall annual ranking.

A new startup superhub that makes life easier for foreign founders

Paris is coming closer to toppling London as Europe’s tech hub. Research shows France received more VC investment than Germany in 2016. Apart from homegrown talent, lots of overseas entrepreneurs are flooding into Paris as the ambitious Station F project goes to plan. Station F is the brainchild of French telecoms billionaire Xavier Niel. It’s a startup superhub based in southeast Paris that can house up to 1,000 startups. Also available in Mountain View (California), Niel set up the world-renowned École 42, a free school for would-be programmers.

The VC-BootCamp will be happening during the famous Tennis French Open – Roland Garros.
